One of the results of our first outreach program in 2010 is that we were able to compile loads of field samples as we built a reggae sound system from scratch and trained local members of Africana Dance Ensemble in the arts of sound reinforcement and DJ culture. So now we are able to share our content with DJ’s and producers around the globe by bringing the roots and culture of Ghana to a sound system near you.

To be clear, we have sample packs available for a one-time purchase, subscription-based enrollment, and customizable dubplates. The Itinual – Rasta Chatta – 1st Edition Sample Pack is over 250 unique and colorful samples of rasta chatter in a roots reggae fashion. This pack brings Ghanaian rasta culture to your studio with deep reggae vocals, and sound effects that are unique but with a familiar reggae dub sound system feel. We recorded these samples at a sound system show in the Accra Art Center where over 15 local musicians were in rotation on the mic.

Itinual volunteers spent much of their time working with local artists to help generate funds for basic living expenses while gaining an in depth cultural experience of the Ghanain culture. A real-life energetic give and take, true Itinual fashion.

Other than organizing events, building a sound system and training locals how to use it, Itinual’s volunteers crew made hammocks, designed clothing, and hand picked other artisan crafts to help generate funds for the recipients of our outreach program.
